Hi! I’m Lucile Vigouroux, a professional equine healthcare author on a mission to empower fellow equestrians with knowledge and science to help them care for and advocate for their horses. Being a journalist since 2018 and now also an editorial photographer, I bring the horse into focus through both my lens and my writing. I've also developed and taught an Equine Journalism and Media college course at Centenary University.
As an AAEVT-certified equine veterinary assistant with a Master’s in Equine Performance, Health, and Welfare, my favorite topics include equine science, wellness, performance, sports medicine, and rehabilitation. After almost six years in business, I’ve just published my 100th article in October 2024, five of which have earned the American Horse Publications (AHP) Equine Media Awards!
Since 2019, my work has been featured in industry-leading publications, primarily The Horse Magazine. I regularly write for EquiManagement, My New Horse, PetMD, Chewy, and Horse Grooms. I've also contributed to EQUUS Magazine, SUCCEED Equine, The Plaid Horse, Stable Management, and Off-Track Thoroughbred Magazine.
